Frequently Asked Questions

Are materials and tools included in the workshop fee?

Yes! All materials, tools, and equipment are provided by Academy by 12 Mile Media. Children just need to bring their creativity and curiosity.

What happens if my child misses a class due to illness or travel?

No worries. Just give us a call, and we’ll reschedule them into another session or help them catch up so they don’t miss out on their project.

Can my child continue with solo or one-on-one training after the workshop?

Yes. We offer personalized sessions for children who want to dive deeper into a medium or continue working on their own projects with guidance from an instructor.

How many children are in each workshop?

Workshops are intentionally small — maximum of 5 children per class — so every child gets personal attention and guidance.

How long is each workshop session?

Workshops run once a week for 90–120 minutes over an 8-week program.

What if my child has no prior experience in media or design?

That’s absolutely fine! Our workshops are beginner-friendly. We meet children where they are and guide them step by step.

Will my child take home their projects?

Yes! Every child finishes with a completed project (posters, podcasts, short films, claymation clips, etc.) that they can proudly share with family and friends.

Can parents watch or participate in the sessions?

We encourage parents to let children explore independently, but you’re welcome to peek in. At the end of each program, we often host a small showcase for parents.

How do I register my child for a workshop?

Registration can be done online or by contacting us directly. Spots are limited, so early booking is recommended.

What age group are the workshops designed for?

Most workshops are designed for children aged 8–14. For younger or older kids, we can recommend the best fit or offer solo sessions.

Do you offer discounts for siblings or multiple workshops?

Yes. We provide family and multi-program discounts — please reach out to learn more.

Are snacks or breaks included?

Workshops include a short break. Children can bring their own snacks and water, and we encourage healthy, nut-free options.
